The WVU Code

What is the WVU Code?

We are all Mountaineers, whether we are graduating this month, graduated 20 years ago or root for WVU each Saturday in the fall.

Whatever way we are part of the West Virginia University community, we all have special memories.

We set out on a journey to find out your most memorable moments. We wanted to see why you thought WVU is such a special place.

Over the last month, we asked questions through Facebook, Twitter and a survey on MIX about your most memorable moments, tips for freshmen to make life easier, favorite study spots and more. Then, you started your own conversation. You told us why you were excited – and maybe even scared – to end your journey at WVU.

These memories will last forever. These rules to live by have been – and will continue to be – passed down by generations and generations of Mountaineers.

This is why you’ll always been a Mountaineer.

The best part about this “WVU Code” is that it will never end. As time goes on, more and more alumni will come from WVU, and they will recount their time on campus. All of this is what makes this University such a wonderful place.

And this Storify will be updated each day based on your comments as we continue the conversation via social media. Follow us on Twitter (@WestVirginiaU) and on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/WVUMountaineers.
